Wellness Care/Immunizations:
Wellness care and disease prevention is a vital part of your pet's medical care. We emphasize providing the best preventive medicine possible so that your pet can live a long, healthy life. In addition to a comprehensive physical exam, your pet's personalized wellness plan may include intestinal parasite and heartworm testing and prevention, tick and flea control, a customized vaccination program, behavioral and nutritional counseling and specialized blood and urine tests for all life stages.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:
Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for your pets' complete health care needs.
- In-house laboratory: Serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing can be performed in our laboratory. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for more specialized diagnostics and consultations.
- Radiology: Both general and dental radiography are available
- ECG (electrocardiogram) for the evaluation of certain heart conditions
- Diagnostic Ultrasound: We offer on-site ultrasounds performed by a board-certified veterinary internal medicine specialist.
- Pharmacy: We maintain a large inventory of medications and preventatives, as well as a full line of prescription diets.
- Dietary Counseling: We can advise you regarding your pet's nutritional needs at various life stages and for various medical conditions.
- Behavioral Counseling: We can provide management plans for the amelioration of some behavioral issues, such as inappropriate urination, phobias, and aggression.
- Referrals and Consultations: We work closely with a wide network of local specialists to provide advanced diagnostics and expertise for more complicated medical and surgical cases.
- Microchipping: We utilize the HomeAgain Microchip system to assist in the recovery of lost or stolen pets.

Surgical Services:
Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, abdominal and bladder surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries.
- Laser Surgery: We perform most surgeries with our surgical laser to minimize post-surgical inflammation and discomfort.
- Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety and comfort. The patient's vital signs are closely monitored during every procedure by trained technicians.
- Dentistry: We offer state of the art dental care. All of our veterinarians have received advanced dental training at the Animal Dental Training Center, in Baltimore, the Animal Dental Center in Acton, and from Dr. Paul Mitchell, veterinary dental specialist. Our dental treatment suite includes digital dental radiography and high speed drills to allow for proper surgical extraction techniques (when necessary), as well as the most modern scaling and polishing equipment for superior cleaning.
